Sam and I didn't have any ornaments at the time of decorating (mine were in a box at Mom's house), so we ingeniously crafted them ourselves. We used oranges, walnuts, popcorn, cranberries, gingerbread, and pinecones. The tree skirt is a shiney purple bit of fabric that was Jesus' robe at Easter last year.
I made some of the ornaments with my friend Korie. This recipe calls for cinnamon, applesause and glue. I can't say that I recommend it. We had a horrible time getting the cookies unstuck from the tin foil.
To celebrate Christmas so far we made bread pudding, we've been working our way through A Christmas Carol. We also watched two of our favorite Christmas movies The Grinch and It's a Wonderful Life. We had a present wrapping party last night. We're trying to be like Scrooge, who "knew how to keep Christmas well."
